Internet Business Scams To Beware Of

Beware of Internet Business Scams that say you can make tons of money doing little to nothing – for just a small fee, of course. Making money in internet marketing takes work, commitment and persistence. Here are some internet business scams to look out for and avoid at all costs.

Internet Business Scams #1: Survey SCAM!!!
You have probably been exposed to many survey offers in the past that say that you can make up to $150/hr by just filling out surveys.  If it was this easy, don’t you think the whole entire population would be sitting at home filling out surveys?  Well, they would be and the fact of the matter is, YOU WILL NOT MAKE MONEY WITH SURVEYS.

In fact, the most money that I found people made through filling out surveys was $100 all together.  Now to think that the survey programs are charging $49.95 just to join, you will be very luck if you turn a profit.  Save your money, and your precious time, and AVOID SURVEYS altogether.

There are much better alternatives to surveys, and there are ways for you to create a business online with very little money.  There are a few programs that you should really know about, and these programs are the best value for what you get online.  In fact, these programs are making people real money, and when we mean “real money”, I am talking $1000+/day.

Internet Business Scams #2: Data Entry Programs
Google is actually removing these. Why would Google take such a bold action and remove data entry programs from the search listings in the first place?  Isn’t this a violation of our freedom?  Can’t we research and buy whatever we like online?

Well, yes we can.  And in fact, so many people were buying these “get rich with data entry” programs, that it became a severe problem.  SO MANY PEOPLE WERE SCAMMED. People were buying these data entry products left and right thinking that they would just have to “enter data” to make money online.  Seems like the logical process right?  Wrong!!! These programs would take your money, and then tell you to make your “data entry” money by promoting the exact same program.

So in theory, you are making money by promoting the data entry program, and in order to do this, you had to spend potentially $1000’s in advertising using PPC engines like Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing.

So if you see a “Data Entry” offer online, stop what you are doing a run as far as you can away from it as possible…unless of course you want to be the next victim of a data entry scam.

In the world of the Internet, you see offers every day to make money online.  The truth is that you CAN make money online, but you need to have the right resources, the right tools, and the right support. You also need to be willing to work, because there is absolutely no opportunity in the world that will pay you for doing nothing.

Internet Business Scams #3: MLMs
You are exposed to offers every single day.  Most of which are taken very lightly, and the only offers that are considered are those that seem legitimate, and our based off of the credibility of tutorials. I have seen it to. Join this “brand new” multi-level marketing venture and have the opportunity to make millions without much work.

To put it into perspective for you, the only people who make the money within a multi-tiered marketing scheme are those who start it (and maybe the lucky few who get in on the first level). There have been literally 100’s of MLM programs removed entirely from the Internet because they were fraudulent and were simply taking peoples money without giving them anything in return. Don’t be the next to get scammed into a MLM.

Internet Business Scams will make outrageous claims
Get Rich Quick scams are everywhere you look…in the newspapers, in magazines, on TV, and especially on the Internet.  If you think that there is an easy street to making money, we have some BAD NEWS for you.  It takes work to make money within any business, and there is no such thing as something that will “get your rich overnight”.

If you have fallen for one of these scams already, you are not alone. Everyone that is making money online, or is looking to make money online, has been subjected to a “get rich quick” scam at some point.  Well, most of us learn from our mistakes and never fall for these programs again.

A rule of thumb for you:  If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.  The first clue to a scam is if the program tells you that it will not require much work at all to get up to $1000/day in profit. These are obviously not true, and if you are looking for a free ride to success, it is not going to happen.

In saying this, there are resources that are 100% legitimate, and can build you a foundation for making money online. These are NOT SCAMS, and they do not claim to get you rich overnight.  They in fact teach you the best techniques and practices for earning money online, and they are essentially building the foundation of your business for you.

These programs are of the absolute best quality, and are very affordable.  If you are truly looking to start a business or take your online business to the next level, the Wealthy Affiliate products listed on these pages are the best in the industry.

Search Engine Optimization: The Basics

Internet search engine optimization is a process of choosing the most appropriate targeted keyword phrases related to your site, getting back links and using meta tags whenever possible.

Using good keywords will rank your site high in the search engines so that when someone searches for specific keyword phrases it returns your site on the first page, and near the top. For example, let’s say your website is about cats. You wouldn’t want one of your keywords to be “cats” since there are 24,900,000 average searches per month, with 88,800,000 quoted (keywords are in quotes when doing the search) competing website for that keyword.

The odds are not good that you could rank on the first page. And that is what you want to do, and you want to rank in the top 5. (The top 3 is even better, and of course, ranking in the top stop is the golden egg that every internet marketer dreams of.)

On the other hand, the keyword phrase “cat behavior” gets 27,100 monthly searches and only has 46,400 quoted website competition results (I’m surprised as I thought this keyword would have way more competition than that). I tend to use keywords if they have an average search of at least 100 per day (or about 3,000 monthly) and under 100,000 quoted website results. But everyone finds they own magic numbers depending upon what niche they’re in.

Internet search engine optimization also involves using Meta tags to help tell the engines what your page is about, and getting appropriate links from similar sites. I can’t talk too much about meta tags since I’m not very good that them yet.

But I can talk about getting inbound links (that is links to your site from other sites). This is very important as it tells Google how popular you are. And if you are popular with other sites, you’ll rank higher in the search engines. Inbound links to your site needs to be on the same topic as your site. In other words, a link to your cat site from a plastic surgeon site isn’t going to do anything for you. But a link from a veterinary site, now that’s good.

There are different search engines that have their secret methods and ranking algorithms but Google is the biggest and has 80% of the total searches world wide. I use Wealthy Affiliate’s Keyword Research Tool and they focus on Google to get their results from.

If you don’t have access to a slick keyword research tool, use Google’s free keyword tool (just type in keyword tool in Google search and it comes up). It’s tedious and time consuming, read my blog posting on that (see link below). But its free and it gets the job done, eventually.

In internet search engine optimization, it’s important that you understand keyword research and I talk about it a lot on this blog because I learned the hard way just how important it is. You can read my blog posting called Wealthy Affiliate Testimonials about it. I think that’s the most important one of the three discussed above, because I don’t understand much about meta tags and I don’t have many links to my sites,  but my pages get ranked pretty high (as can be seen in the screen shot at the top of this post – one of my pages got the 3rd spot right under Wealthy Affiliate for my keyword! And it only took me 3 days to get to that spot.) So Know Thy Keyword Research!
